Hello CondoDomain,

Your shift to this model makes complete sense. After all, these transactions do take an incredible amount of time. I am sure it took some teasing out of processes and clients as you figured this all out in your first year - Sometimes you think you might have the most lean sushi client, but realize they are more a sit down three course meal followed by a very rich dessert! Needless to say, your company is committed to following up on what it has offered, but I'm sure you've learned that what may have seemed like sushi is not sushi.

Here is some advice though. Question: For newbies, how will they know whether they are sushi or whether they are pizza? Ever been to Faneuil Hall to grab a bite to eat in beantown? I mean, seriously. It's a fun process to go eat there, but more choices can lead to lack of clarity.

So, imagine getting a client who starts out as sushi and ends up being pizza. How will you be transparent at that point? You don't want to insult your client, but you do want to be assertive and let them know they are taking up a lot of your business time - gently guiding them towards the pizza part of Faneuil Hall, sitting with them, explaining to them why, and yet keeping them!

And, be careful, going with your metaphor, you don't want to make your client feel they were better off with a traditional real estate agent. Some people think of these folks as \those that can hold your hand while you eat.\ I disagree- but, that is the impression in the market - like there is a spectrum of services, and the \traditional\ agent being the full service spectrum. I'm not saying this is what I think your company is saying, but be careful in not making \them\ better than pizza. So, just be careful that in stating this new model of two choices, you don't unintentionally glorify what they are advertising as FULL on service. They can take that and use it to their advantage, and you can feel so frustrated ...\That's not what we are saying!\

So, I like the metaphor. But, I would just say be careful. A lot of folks don't really know how to even sit and enjoy their meal when buying a home. From past experience, I can say that the whole process took me one year to learn how to enjoy.

But, picking, Condodomain should really still feel like the best choice at the end of the day for everyone involved - and I think that takes communication of these choices throughout the process, not just at the beginning. And, yes, transparency - even when your sushi clients seem more demanding.

Best to all your future clients,
Beantown Fan
