How walkable is your house? Well this new website will tell ya if you dont already know!
WalkScore will rate your home on how walkable it is. Why does walking matter? Well besides the obvious here is a slew of other great reasons! I can actually comment on this one personally and I started doing this long before this website launched.
Just about 19 months ago when we started condoDomain I had sold my apartment which was located in the North End in Boston and I moved over to the Back Bay just 5 blocks from my office. Since that day, I have barley used my car…not more than 2-3 times a month and I love it. Coming from a car enthusist, I have just enjoyed being on foot. From walking to work, to the gym, to local restaurants it has enhanced my life with a few extra hours a day and much less stress, not to mention the physical benefits. (ie. I dont get winded climbing 3 flights of stairs anymore).

The people at WalkScore were smart enough to realize the value to Realtors, though it would also make a great addition to a Condo/HOA community website.
Additionally, apartment buildings, hotels and timeshares should find value in this product. A hotel, for example, can really appeal to tourists wondering how centrally located a property is.
